I discovered something interesting while scrolling around Instagram on my lunch hour today: The 24 in 48 Readathon!
Sure I had fewer than 12 hours to prepare, but I figured, why not!? So here we are a couple hours out & I’m so excited to probably fail. I’ve got a hike planned for tomorrow morning and laundry to do this weekend. We’ll see if I can squeeze 24 hours of reading in there somewhere. Even if I can’t log all 24 hours, it’ll be good to get a good chunk of reading done. My TBR pile, is all stacked up and ready for midnight.
First up? Some middle grade! Me and Marvin Gardens by Amy Serig King
Wish me luck y’all!

Update: It’s almost 8:50PM & today ended up being really busy for me! I got a good hike in, but I didn’t read as much as I wanted to. So far, I’ve logged 4h 36m 55s. Not bad, but I’ve got pages (and pages and pages) to go before I sleep.
Update: 10:25PM & I’ve finished my first book this weekend. So that’s Me and Marvin Gardens completed! That’s 5h 43m 13s down. On to the next book! See You in the Cosmos by Jack Cheng.
Update: Sunday, 9:29AM – I’m officially not going to finish. Hiking yesterday not only ate into my 48 hours, BUT made me super tired. I slept in too late this morning. When I went to bed last night, my total was 8h 8m 13s. I’m going to try and get some more reading in today, but I might also abandon my reading for a bit to go to brunch. Still, this is more reading than I typically get done in a weekend!
I did not finish! I did read for 11 Hours and 55 Minutes in the end though. So not quite half the required time, but I have a life to live people. I did my best. There’s always July.
